Q. Who is Service Wide Technologies?

A. Service Wide Technologies (SWT) is the leading service center specializing in Marantz consumer products for North America. We are also the national service center for Philips Pronto touch screen remote controls. Our facility is sized to handle a large volume of products, but small enough to ensure detailed quality repairs. Located in Downers Grove, Illinois, we have been independently owned and operated since 1996.


Q. How is SWT affiliated with Marantz?

A. We are the primary third party service center for Marantz. We are also the largest service provider of their touch screen remote controls.


Q. How is SWT affiliated with Philips Pronto?

A. SWT is the national service center for the Philips Pronto line of touch screen remote controls and panels.


Q. Do I need a RA number to send my unit in for service?

A. No, we do not require a RA number. Please refer to our shipping instructions for the information we do require.


Q. I just shipped my unit. How long should I expect to wait?

A. We ask for 7-10 days from arrival. Most repairs are completed well before or within this time frame. Please allow time for shipping. The majority of your time away from your unit may be due to transit. Any missing information or documentation will result in longer turn around times. Also, allow time for non-warranty repairs that require working up an estimate.


Q. How can I make sure my unit is covered under warranty?

A. The easiest way is to read the warranty policies supplied with your unit or check the manufacuter's websites.


Q. How long does will SWT warranty their repairs?

A. We cover parts and labor for 90 days on your unit if it exhibits the same problem for which it was previously serviced. This does not include repeated physical damage or misuse of the product.


Q. My unit was damaged in shipping, what should I do?

A. If your unit was damaged on its way to SWT we will inform you as soon as possible. You will then need to contact your courier (i.e. UPS or FEDEX) and file a claim. Please instruct the courier to return the unit to SWT after inspection. After the couriers inspection, we can work up an estimate of the damages. If the unit was damaged on it's way from us, please let us know immediately so we can get that resolved as quickly as possible.

Q. Does SWT sell any parts?

A. We do stock and sell OEM replacement accessories for the Philips Pronto line of products. We also offer several OEM and refurbished accessories for Marantz touch screen remote controls. At this time, we do not sell any repair related parts.


Q. I have a software problem with my programmable remote. Can SWT help?

A. At this time we don't support software programming. For support with Pronto Remotes you may contact their call center at 888-773-7384. We also do recommend remotecentral.com or philips pronto websites for assistance with your programming and designing.
